Question: Regarding Gouy phase

We have arrived at the round trip Gouy phase of -35 degrees. Is this supposed to be different for +35 degrees or, since it is a phase difference, it doesn’t effect our system much?

  1. It’s only gouy phase difference that normally matters and it depends on what you use as a zero phase reference so if you’re confident all of your other parameters (curvatures, spaces, etc.) are reasonable then I think that’s fine (other demonstrators correct me if I’m wrong).
